Release: Calgary Chamber announces Small Business Awards finalists

Calgary, AB, September 8, 2025 – Today, the Calgary Chamber released the finalists for Calgary’s Small Business Awards, honouring the impact of local entrepreneurs who drive innovation, create jobs and shape the future of our city. The winners will be announced at the Calgary Chamber’s Small Business Awards Gala on October 24.

The Awards Gala is one of four events hosted by the Calgary Chamber to celebrate and support small businesses in Small Business Week, from October 21 to 24. For over a decade, the Calgary Chamber has recognized the contributions of small business to our city. This year, we look forward to continuing that tradition by celebrating and recognizing entrepreneurs and businesses.

“Calgary’s prosperity is driven by the determination and ingenuity of our small business community,” says Melanie McDonald, Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives, Partnerships and Engagement. “These awards, along with Small Business Week, gives us the opportunity to recognize their impact, celebrate their achievements and highlight the essential role they play in fueling innovation and growth in our city.”

Accounting for over 95 per cent of businesses in Calgary, small enterprises are the heart of our city’s economy. In a time of economic uncertainty, there’s no better investment than supporting small business – it is how we build a stronger, more vibrant community for everyone.
