About

In recognition of National Depression Screening Day, join us for One Step Better: a heartfelt event focused on mental health, resilience and healing.

Our keynote speaker, Joelle Tomlinson of Global News Calgary, will share her deeply personal story. From the tragic loss of her brother to overdose, to the challenges she’s faced as a woman of colour in media and the impact of burnout in her family, Joelle will speak candidly about how these experiences have shaped her personal mental health.

Joelle’s message of vulnerability and strength will offer a reminder that mental health affects us all, and that healing begins with honest conversation.

Following her keynote, Joelle will join Deborah Yedlin (Calgary Chamber) and Robbie Babins-Wagner (Calgary Counselling Centre) for a fireside chat exploring leadership, community and the path to wellness.

This event promises to be raw and resonant. Join us and explore how we can all take that one step better.
