Mental Health Monday: Loneliness and the holiday season

[event_status_label]

Supported by our Mental Health Pillar Partner: Cenovus Energy

About

On December 8, the Calgary Chamber wraps up its Mental Health Monday series for the year with a timely session on loneliness during the holiday season.

The holidays can be a joyful time for many, but they can also bring feelings of isolation and disconnection. This session will explore the emotional challenges people may face during this season and highlight strategies for fostering connection, well-being and resilience. Participants will gain insights into practical ways to support themselves and others in navigating loneliness and building meaningful connections.

Join us for this reflective conversation as we close the year together, focusing on mental wellness, community and the importance of reaching out and supporting one another.

About Mental Health Mondays

Mental Health Monday is a monthly event series dedicated to fostering open, supportive conversations about mental well-being in our community.

In partnership with our Mental Health Pillar Partner, Cenovus, these sessions go beyond the workplace covering a wide range of topics that impact both our professional and personal lives. Each month, a thought leader from one of Calgary’s leading mental health organizations will guide the conversation, share resources and be available to answer your questions.

This series is also about building a sense of community—whether you’re personally navigating mental health challenges, supporting someone who is, or simply wanting to learn more. Whether you’re a business leader, team member or community partner, you’ll gain valuable tools, insights and connections to strengthen well-being for yourself and those around you.

Together, let’s build a healthier, more resilient Calgary, because we’re always better together.
