Mental Health Navigator

The Calgary Chamber is committed to addressing mental health in the workplace by partnering with thought leaders to reduce stigma and empower strength. Through our partnership with the Calgary Counselling Centre, and with generous support from the City of Calgary’s Mental Health Strategy, the Mental Health Navigator will provide critical resources and support to businesses and their employees across the city.

Who can benefit?

The MHN is a free resource designed for:

  • Employees with or without access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) or benefits coverage.

  • Business owners, leaders and HR representatives seeking guidance on supporting employee mental health.

  • Employees who prefer not to engage with employer-provided EAP programs.

The MHN will assess each situation to customize support for individuals or organizations. By working collaboratively with community agencies, we ensure access to a wide range of resources tailored to specific needs.

By integrating the MHN into your workplace strategy, you can:

  • Demonstrate a genuine commitment to employee well-being
  • Enhance employee satisfaction, morale and retention
  • Foster a supportive culture that reduces stigma around mental health

Your employees will also benefit from:

  • Rapid access to support for personal issues or crises
  • Early intervention to prevent problems from escalating
  • Improved mental health, leading to better functioning at work and reduced stress

The Mental Health Navigator is more than resource—it’s a commitment to nurturing a healthier, more engaged workforce. Together, let’s pave the way for a brighter, more supportive workplace.
